A&A Bake Doubles and Roti

Omg this is my second time being here and the food was sooooooooo good 8/5 stars CHAI. I got one regular Double, one shrimp and one fish and I got all seasonings (hot) all for $11.50. It’s very flavorful, affordable and filling. I could only eat 2 in one sitting and saved the shrimp one for later. If I lived close y I would be going here everyday.

Yo, whenever I'm in Bed-Stuy, A&A is the spot for lunch. It's a real find, a total "hole-in-the-wall." A hidden Gem! It is small, unpretentious, and budget-friendly. The decor isn't fancy but the food is 10/10. This family-run business demonstrates a clear dedication to their "art form" - prioritizing food quality and flavor. Although the space is intimate, seating availability has not been an issue.

My first time having Pholourie. Didn't know what I got myself into; I requested them dressed with tamarind sauce and mango pickles as the counter staff offered. After my first bite, it felt heavenly. The balanced sweet and tangy tamarind sauce and spicy mango pickles were perfectly married to the fried Pholourie. Also I loved their hot sauce... I would say the spice level is 6.5/10. If I may say so, these are OUTSTANDING fried dough balls(slightly crunchy exterior but super pillowy center). I Highly recommended them. In addition, staff were friendly and helpful. There are several communal dining tables and seats by the wall.

Quite a feast of comfort food!!! Very friendly local unassuming place with very interesting flavors in generous portions which were perfect for a cold day in Brooklyn. Visiting from Los Angeles I had no exposure to this type of Caribbean food before and honestly it really hit the spot and was delicious. The rice bowl I ordered had a wide variety of veggies. Really quite amazing. Honestly I can’t wait to come back and wish I had this kind of place back home. It’s also very reasonably priced. Oh and they clearly could see it was my first time here and were very patient and helpful guiding me through all the options. And were very generous with the portions so I could get a taste of everything veggie.. My friend had chicken I believe and he was happy with his choice but I think all veggie may have been better!

The food was good. They have many options of rotis, meat, they also have shrimp. They also have drinks in the fridge. The atmosphere was quite okay, they have a few seats as well. But the costumer service can be improved. The way they speak to costumers was not really polite and we got scared as their tone of speaking a little bit.

The food was okay at best. We had the doubles (3/5) and the aloo pie (3/5). The doubles were okay but the channa filling tasted weird - like the spices were off somehow. The aloo pie also tasted stale but it was stuffed with the chickpeas. Overall, mediocre place.
